Before I begin the practice dates, Ms Ho is singing for a concert and it's just next week (sorry, been too lazy to post anything here until kenneth suggested).

CONCERT: The Singers Vocal Ensemble
presents MADE IN SINGAPORE

Fresh from winning top awards in Europe, The Singers Vocal Ensemble presents their 2007 concert on 28th August at the Esplanade Recital Studio.

As many as 10 works will receive their World Premiere in this concert. These include new music specially commissioned by The Singers Vocal Ensemble from important Singaporean composers such as Dr Goh Toh Chai, Asst Prof. Hoh Chung Shih, Dr Kelly Tang, Americ Goh, Howard Wan, Lawrence Ng and Asian composers, Juliette Lai and Ivan Yohan.

Works by Leong Yoon Pin, Vanraj Bhatia and Budi Susanto Yohanes will also be featured.

This concert draws together all three generations of choral composition in Southeast Asia and boasts a programme entirely made up of works by living composers.

Tickets are priced at $23 and are only available through thatboxoffice@gmail.com or by calling 91442489.

In an evening of music inspired by stories of martyrdom, the Gloria forms a thematic ritornello framing other odes to human sacrifice. Whether a poignant plea for peace, an unraveling Bach-ian spiel or a series of ecstatic explosions, inspired settings by Margutti-Monteverdi, Martin and Woo give new voice to that outburst of lyric poetry among Christians during a time of persecution in the 2nd century. The protomartyr is stoned to death via deconstruction of a medieval round in Bodys Carol to St Stephen; and words of the original martyr bring solace in Buchenbergs other-worldly Ich bin das Brot des Lebens. Arrangements in close harmony balance out the programme.

the alumni went to her house and decorated her room! they gave her a huge surprise that makes her 17th bithday the most memorable one! a day which she will nt forget in her entire life! people who were present at that moment are: rosalind waiwah cheunkit forbes jiesi xinkai

1) Solidarity - ability to work with and cooperate comfortably with members.
2) Enthusiasm - ability to commit more than adequate quantity of time.
3) Quality - ability to sing at acceptable degree of excellence.

Wee~ my first post here! Lets get more members to fill in sops section =P for the hong kong trip! Still a long time to go though. hahas. So many concerts and performances coming up in July, so people please don't get so busy kays especially 19th july! HAHA! Shall update again when the date is approaching. Hopefully, the alumni choir members that have long disappeared will appear again to support the currently small group of alumni members, then we'll have more esperienced members. Stay TUNE! xD
